Find lasting relief and confidence from pelvic health issues

Equipping women, men & nonbinary folx with knowledge of their symptoms and understanding of their body to help resolve pelvic pain, urinary & bowel issues; and to optimize pregnancy, labor, & postpartum to help them return to their meaningful activities with specialized pelvic floor therapy.

Approach

Issues in the pelvic region are often complicated. It’s a place where great pleasures and joys are born, but it can also be a source of pain, shame, confusion, and trauma. Many of us have mixed feelings regarding some of our fundamental functions: urination, sexuality, and defecation. My approach to pelvic floor therapy is to help my clients regain a sense of agency, control, and insight over this part of the body to not only normalize it, but also help rehabilitate dysfunction and reclaim a sense of ease and confidence that gets stripped with issues like painful sex or leakage which can greatly impact quality of life.

I treat people at all ages & stages to address the root causes of dysfunction using a whole person approach to achieve lasting results to get them back  into their important life roles, activities, and occupations.  No person’s concerns are too common or even too rare & complex.

What We Treat

Pelvic Pain & Sexual Dysfunction

Pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction can result from many things. We can work on it together.

Urinary Issues

Urinary dysfunction can happen with coughing, sneezing, laughing, running, jumping, lifting, bending, or reaching.

Bowel Issues

Bowel issues are symptoms such as chronic constipation, fecal or anal leakage, pain with defecation, and more.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse

Being diagnosed with prolapse can be scary.  You do not need immediate surgery to correct it. You have options!

Pregnancy,
Postpartum, &
Birth Prep

In pregnancy, pelvic floor therapy can have a life-changing impact.

Male Pelvic Disorders

Men have pelvic floors too!  They deal with the same pelvic floor issues - pain, urinary issues, bowel health problems, & sexual dysfunction.

Post Surgical

Pelvic floor therapy relieves scar discomfort and pain, increases blood flow, and more.

  • “After suffering for 5 years of muscle spasms and pain and being misdiagnosed by several MD specialists, Rose was THE ONE who figured out the complicated mess that my maladapted fascia system became over those years. She changed my life! I'm incredibly grateful for her patience and expertise in this little known area.”

    Melissa P.

  • “Everything with Rose was great, from the treatment planning to the assistance in making sure I was doing the prescribed exercises correctly to improving my pelvic health. I feel more confident with implementing the emergency tools/exercises that Rose recommended if/when my symptoms start up again.”

    Julie C.

  • “Rose made me feel very safe talking about an issue with my body that I felt a lot of shame and embarrassment about. She had the patience and caring to help me start unpacking these issues. She is the absolute best. In the end, she helped me overcome a lot of shame and helped me with my PF issues and move on with my life! Most excitingly, my work with her allowed me to feel comfortable pursuing pregnancy with my partner.”

    Rachel R.

  • “I thought she was professional and quite knowledgeable about the issues I face. Also, she was sensitive to my situation.”

    Allan E.

  • “I felt that this was one of the best experiences I have ever had with OT. Rose makes you feel so comfortable and I always felt that my well-being was the primary concern. The way Rose explained everything, I seem to have understood what needed to be done immediately. The water thing???? Still working on that, but I am getting there. Thank you for a most enjoyable and beneficial experience.”

    Cynthia P.

  • “Rose was very knowledgeable, caring and we had a very detailed discussion of my problems and potential treatment options. I felt so well listened to and that we both understood what the next steps will be. I felt after all these years of suffering with my issues, that Rose validated me and understood me.”

    Kathleen S.

  • “This has been an incredibly vital part of my healing and recovery postpartum. Rose has been informative, professional, compassionate, and very attentive to the needs and goals of my recovery. My only regret is not having searched for this support with my first child. Who knows where I would be. But better late than never! “

7 reasons to choose The Healing Pelvis for your Pelvic Health Care

1. You deserve an honest specialist.
I have dedicated my career solely to pelvic health and wellness. It is what I specialize in and have taken extensive coursework and training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and other accredited sources.  It is not just an add-on service.

2. Walk out feeling well cared for, heard, and seen.
Sessions occur within a calm and private room. Aromatherapy is offered. Each detail is curated specifically for pelvic care.  Once treatment is completed, exercises and creative functional activities occur in a private and spacious area with natural lighting.

3. It is not just about “kegel-ing.”
I do much more than “just kegels.” I assess from head-to-toe beyond the pelvic floor to understand the entire system.  I don’t believe in kegel-focused care; in fact, that can sometimes make your symptoms worse. Instead, I focus on the real cause of your issues.

4. Receive specialized myofascial release
for pain relief
I have extensive training in manual therapy techniques that address the connective tissue system, which extend to every cell in the body. By addressing this web of fascial tissue, relief from pain can occur not only where the person is having symptoms, but also gets to the root of the problem which is usually somewhere else in the body. Traditional therapy usually treats only where the area is affected and therefore clients only get temporary relief, whereas myofascial release techniques are able to provide long term pain reduction.

5. Speak with an actual human
Navigating the medical system can be a real chore. At The Healing Pelvis, you’ll talk directly with someone who understands pelvic health and can answer any questions. No waiting on hold, no automated answering service, and no wasted time.

6. Custom treatments to resolve your concerns effectively.
I will let you know your plan of care at the end of your evaluation. I give you my clinically honest opinion of how long it may take to treat your concerns or reach your goals. Every person is different and consistency is key! (Not just in your treatment sessions but in following your home exercise and/or manual program; we are a team).

You will not find any predetermined packages for your issues or a one size fits all plan. Each plan is customized to your concerns and goals. No two treatments are alike.

7. You are the priority!
You get individualized and customized care for the full hour.  Your time is not split with other patients and you will not be shuffled off to someone else. Your time is valuable and I provide you with the highest level of care.
